And Steve, the pic is pretty small but I'm pretty sure that's Hunter's Mom. If it isn't it could be her twin.
Your vantage point of it was...?
Also, to Mxfreak. You said "there is only like a 1 foot gap between it and the banner". Go watch it again. I'd would say there's easily 4 feet there. You can see it clearly with 8:02 left in the moto as they go by Hunter. Still not a lot of room but I'm not sure where else the kid was suppose to go with a locked up bike.
I apologize for dragging this out. But I will stand by what I posted earlier about your comment under the photo. I think you may have realized what impact that comment had or you wouldn't have deleted the photo. The kid's a privateer struggling to get to every race he can and in my eyes and possibly future sponsors? you belittled him.
The photos you shoot are still human beings in an extremely fast paced, highly competitive sport. One where Hunter is trying to break into. "IF" he acted the way you described it was from the heart, heat of the moment. Would a sponsored rider of the class acted the same? Probably not. They probably would have left the bike lay on the side of the track, hopped over the banner and waited for team Rhino to pick them up. I'm sure they would have been pissed but I haven't seen many push a broken bike across the track, then kneel down (while Mom holds the bike) and inspect the damage hoping to fix it himself.
You're aware shots you take are seen by thousands of people. Same thing goes for the comments posted with them. Would you have posted that same comment with the same circumstances of any of the top 5 in the 250s? I think the comment would have been more along the lines of, "Here's where bad luck struck (top 5 rider) when his hub broke and sprocket turned sideways to lock up the rear wheel ending his day and chance at a podium finish".
No harm no foul tho, hopefully this has been a learning experience for us all! Thanks for posting the extra pics of him, would like to see more of him in action. See you all at Lakewood.

Dadof3 wrote: With 8:06 left in the moto a lapper, Rattray and Hahn are coming over the tunnel with the flagger on top of the tunnel in plain site of the riders. His flag out and pointing them to the outside. As they come down the hill you see Hunter sitting on his bike on the inside line parallel with the track, head turned watching behind him. I can't figure out why the bike would be parallel with the track if he's pushing it across the track perpendicular.

OH...one last thing.....Mr. B.
..........have a wonderful day!"
damned fine detective work there Dadof3, if I were on the jury I think I know who I would believe.....Good Luck team #834, from someone who happens to know you I know you can laugh it off and look towards tommorrow.
sorry, not happening. save the money and the ego.
So, FTW 674, people who know Hunter and his family can't join this board and be proud and happy for him? WOW! I guess you can say I'm a lurker on this site, but just joined so that i can get in on some internet bashing and be a tough guy like you.
I love the drama and the back-story. I was not watching timing & scoring for the front-runners. I was tracking some kid I'd never heard of two weeks before.
Hunter...do what you do, dude. Glad you had the stones to post here to clarify some details. You join a family of REAL people that includes David Vuilleman, Zach Osborne, Sean Hamblin, and a lot of guys who hide behind "screen names".
I think the flamers and haters and conspiracy theorists could learn a lot from this high-school kid. Then again, those assholes don't learn very well. They just spout crap about things they will never understand.
Kick ass, Hunter. Some of us are watching. (even some great people inside the "industry").

at least hunter has the sense to look behind him and see if anyone is coming before he exits the track..... unlike some of the other professional riders that feel they are the only ones out there that matter. stewart is lucky he hasn't killed someone yet.
hunter, I trust your judgement and know you would not risk the safety of other riders. good luck in lakewood.
Now we're reduced to posting clips of other riders?
I made the observation based purely on what I saw in front of me, not from the couch in front of a TV, and not from my personal relationship with him, like most of the recent posts in here.
The comments I made were in the interests of safety, not to try and hurt anyone's reputation, etc. If it had been a factory guy, I would have made the same exact observation.
Here's hoping that Lakewood gets him noticed for positive results.
