Andrew Short what happen????

Edited Date/Time 1/25/2012 2:22pm

Are the results correct? 30ish in the first moto? NO FW! Shorty is consistent and runs in the top five most races. I had him winning convincingly today. Next week he will stand on the top of the box. Next week, I bet you 100 bucks, next week.

Motor problems? NO &&^%%&**(& WAY.
Can't they just replace the motor?
Short needs to get off that losing team. He deserves better equipment.

That is a huge bummer, doesn't even give him a chance.

Vintage...what better equipment are you referring to?

Monster Kawi 450. Mitch should put a team togethor for Shorty. He is a hard worker, consistent finisher and would bring several championships, for sure.

That's an interesting take considering the issues the Kawasaki teams have had in recent years. Remember Stewart at Southwick at couple years back?

You may be correct, I am just saying.

I was really surprised Short did not do more in the final moto. Having missed the first, he should have had much more energy at the end.

As much as I love Shorty, he's not championship winning material, even if Mitch was at the helm. He's consistanlty top 5, not consistantly fighting for wins.

Don't compare Stewart and Shorty. Stewart seems a bit flaky and Shorty is there for the fans every race working his way to the podium. Shorty deserves to have a working engine! With all the parts in the hauler, all the mechanics, techs,....this is just WRONG!

I say Honda should renew his contract for ruining his season.

Don't think Honda knew until it was on the line and time to go. I'd hate to be that mechanic!

6th place is pretty damn good considering he has no time on the track...probably spent most of the moto learning the lines....also he would have won the first moto so a score of 1-6 would be pretty damn good.

He probably had plenty of energy the motor was most likely down on power or a back up motor that was not fine tuned

I was comparing the equipment.

I was trying to allude that all types of bikes and teams have issues every now and then, and that this type of issue can happen to anyone any given Sunday.

bd,

I have appreciated your posts in the past, but I MUST draw a line in the sand and say, BITE ME. If your willing to bash my favorite rider, then man up and meet me in person...because I will beat the Shorty into you. I'm sick and tired of fans crapping on Shorty. Dude shows and places, unlike Stewart. BD, you of all dudes should appreciate the true motocrossers in the sport.

Almost. We were in the pits at 12:30 (about a half-hour before the start of 450 moto #1) and they had the bike stripped down to the frame with three sets of hands in it. They were paying a lot of attention to the wiring harness for the 3 minutes we stood and watched.

I just got checked Wink . On a serious note, if you qualify for an outdoor national, you are a bad ass on a MX bike. Shorty was on the gas.

It was an electrical issue after the bike got washed following the morning practice. They ended up replacing the whole electrical system and it ran fine. They'll do an up close diagnostic next week.

Do they start the bikes after washing them? I always do! This is just basic stuff that should be protocol for a race team. I will file this malafunction with the broken carb needle on MC's YZ 250.

Note to Kehoe: Honda should pay Shorty the win bonus, because he could have easily waxed everyone today. Also, Shorty is 10x better than Canard.

No IV for me, but do I feel great? Not really. I did pound a lot of water, and a couple bottles of Cytomax.

I thought you looked quite spry for a guy toting all that stuff around in the sun all day.
