Alright guys i know i have posted on here a fair bit with similar topics for which I'm sorry if that upsets you but i have just been trying to find the easiest way to replace either my whole forks or just the pictured part.
So i have been told i could replace just the adjuster that i am looking to replace with a pair from rmz250/450 forks but after looking into that a little bit i am fairly sure i cannot do that as the rmz internals are different.
Next i have been told to use a sff air forks front end from a newer rmz. I have read that the whole front end should directly fit on but then i would need to fabricate steering stops on the frame of my rm, i haven't been too keen on making big changes from stock like that.
Then i have heard earlier model rmz250/450 forks will bolt straight into my triple clamps and work fine as long as i use the rmz front wheel and brake disc, is this correct, as that doesn't sound too bad and older rmz forks are quite easy to find selling. Will the rmz triple clamps from the earlier models also fit the rm250?
Lastly i have recently found someone parting out a 2001 rm125 with showa forks, would these forks bolt onto my 2007 rm250? What about the triple clamps for the rm125 will that bolt onto my 250? If so is the offset from the 01 125 and the 07 250 different?
Cheers legends any help would be appreciated, the knowledge within this group is astounding so thank you in advance for the sharing of knowledge.

If that's the case, you can get either RM 125 or 250 fork and just replace the one you have with the new one or you can replace only the part in question (the cartridge I mean).
2007-2011 RMZ showa 47mm forks will bolt on to your triple clamps, as you mentioned you will have to use RMZ wheel.
The brake caliper will fit from your bike.
Fix the routing of that front brake line while you're at it, one tip over to the left side and you will be looking for a new brake hose.
The offset for 2004+ RM's is 22,5mm, prior years were 24,5mm offset.
Newer RMZ triple clamps will not be a straight swap to your RM. Air forks are in no way, shape or form an improvement over spring.
I made yamaha suspension work on my RM, so I will be the first one to tell you that everything is possible, but most of it is not worth the hassle.
Nice bike btw!
I guess my last question would be then are the showa forks from the 01 rm125 going to fit into my clamps without a problem? I have tried finding where i might be able to get a pair of the parts needed but have had 0 luck in doing so.
And the clamps from the 01 rm being 24.5mm offset i can't imagine that would be an upgrade to my 22.5mm so i might try and see if he will lower the price of the forks a little bit and keep the triples.
When you say routed right for the front brake line do you mean on the inside of the wheel or going underneath the axle like my 02 rm250?
I should have some parts laying around from the RM forks. You need a complete cartridge, right? I will check tomorrow to see what condition it's in and will report back.
2001 forks should fit, as long as they are 47mm showa units. I know they came on a 250 since 2003, not sure about the 125.
As far as the brake line, yes it should be between the front wheel and fork instead of outside the fork, as pictured below.
And yeah sweet ill change that around this morning i few people have been on my back to get it routed correctly.
Look forward to hearing from you about the rm forks.
