Currently in the process of deciding which bike to get at the moment for racing and need a little bit of help making a decision. I've had my eyes set on a '24 yz250f and have a really good deal at my local dealership to get one, $9k cash otd, but I'm wondering if it's worth it to save myself a few thousand on a pre-owned 21+ and put the extra money into suspension, exhaust, etc. I could also put the same mods on the 24, but my main concern is if its really worth the extra money.
I would get the new bike and put the fun parts on as you can afford them or whatever. 21 is a fine bike, but a 24 is pretty cool and well, a 24.

save a few thousand for a bike with 40-50 hours of unknown maintenance. Not worth it.
