Help me understand the Jett hate.

I think we already know… 🙄

He has to get number 2 first. 1/4 of the way into the season and he only has one win. So much for the perfect season talk that a lot of people were predicting. 

My theory is a lot of the vitriol is directed at or motivated to piss off  the jett fans who live vicariously through their hero - jett fans who are so emotionally invested in their hero they take any insult, real or perceived, directed at their hero personally and feel the need to defend their hero as if their lives are depended on this. shit escalates from there

But supposedly  he was only riding  at 90% at A1, so there was zero chance Webb was going to catch him.   That is what his super fans said.

I think it's pretty standard for the greats to go through the same arc.  They are loved on the way up, hated when they get to the top and then loved again on the backside.  RC, JS7, Reed, and many others have gone through it.  He needs to shake it off and be humble.  It will turn back in his favor.
