However, shouldn't James have #2, as RC has #1 in all classes? I might be mistaken... but what number did Jeff Stanton have when JMB won all classes? I'd say #2... please correct me if I am wrong.

Other noticeable things... poor Nick Wey, for the last years he would have had a really low number, which usually translates into a factory ride (not that MDK is bad at all). DV might be happy this year that they have the "permanent" number system...

Me too. And I still haven't seen proof of that the "permanent" numbering system is making the riders more "marketable" and easily recognized. And it only helps the ones that are well known and rich anyway...
