Yes but also:

3G Availability (Obviously no cel availability though)

10 Hour battery

Better display

Special iWork Suite (Which looks to kick serious ass)

This thing's limitations are its strength.

Its so limited that it makes it outstanding specifically for publishing and web-based content delivery. Its going to change publishing more than any other device.

Its also the perfect solution for anyone who has a laptop but no use for a device that does anymore than web content. The fact that it runs all App Store apps is a bonus.

For the first time in history Apple has delivered an amazing new product but didnt price itself out of the market at launch.

Hey 2500th post, maybe I should go outside for once...

AJ or anyone, if you just want a device which you can access the web with, use App Store apps, word processing, read digital magazines with. Get one.

It's interesting to muse about how people will use them. Over Christmas/New Years, my sisters were all sitting around playing with their new iPod Touch's while at the family get-togethers. They were pulling up internet news and looking things up as people were watching TV or just shooting the breeze. They could play with it discreetly and slip it back in their purses.

The iPad looks to be big enough that it cannot be so easily used without calling notice to it.

Certainly the iPad could replace Kindles and other eBooks, but as far as market penetration of eBooks go, they have been a universal failure. Will the ready market of "must-have-anything Apple" devotees bring success where everyone else has failed before? Will schools have to ban them because students will be doodling away their time on the internet?

So many questions, so many questions.....

McGraw Hill has already committed to making their textbooks available for the iPad. Apple is using the iPad as a device to help them get a foothold back into the educational market.

Your right about e-readers being general failures but the iPad's strength is its limited though beyond an e-readers capabilities. Its size, the iBook and store, Apple designed interface/aesthetic all make it the best e-reader. Its additional capabilities add value and purchase temptation to anyone who questions its value as an e-reader.

Add to that its ability to word process with iWork, keep invisibly current with newspapers and magazines, run all App Store apps and web browsing in a 9.7"x.5" size... at $500? and its an Apple product? Damn.

How many people out there use the excuse for not having a Mac as price. This is like the carrot in front of the wagon mule, guiding you right into Apples quality where they make new users aware of what we already know. Apple is smarter and they just work better.

Yes it did. I imagine revB will have a camera as well as a pressure sensitive touch screen.
