Remember the Motorcycle Olympiad held at Saddleback in '77 and '78?
It was a cool format, each rider had to use the same motorcycle for a road-race ('77 only), a drag race, short-track, TT, a long Cross-Country and a motocross finale. Hannah won both years. The idea eventually morphed into the Superbikers held at Carlsbad, which years later led to Super-Moto.
I know the '77 event was broadcast on TV. Back then cable TV was just taking off and it may have been on ESPN. Anybody got a copy of that? Photos? I've got a bunch of photos but need one of those nasty rainy Sundays to prompt me to scan them.
