YZ65 lowering height

Hello everyone,

I appreciate if anyone can help me with suggestion/advise on how to lower YZ65.  I cannot find anything on internet regarding lowering kit for yz65 or anything related to lowering yz65 height.   Besides the option of waiting for my son to grow up and start touching the ground Smile I would like to find a way  of how to lower it so he can be more confident and safe during riding.

There is no linkage so no way lower the rear without using limiting spacers internally. Race Tech sells a kit with different sizes but you'd need a professional if you are not capable of rebuilding a shock.

The forks can be slid up in the clamps but only so much then you'd again need spacers internally and also cutting the fork springs down.

Thank you MXRalph for the quick reply.  Yes everything will be done by a professional not by myself.   I will check with race tech regarding the spacers and to see how much yz65 will be lowered.  Just for the springs I am not sure ,   should I cut them down or maybe find springs that match the needed height , if such do exist.

Not sure what options are available where you're from but cutting the springs makes them a bit stiffer, depending on how much you cut them down, and requires heating the coil to bend it down and grind it flat.

I know Race Tech can cut and shorten a set of springs to the proper rate for a fee and you could also order a custom set would to the length and rate you need from Cannon Racecraft in Oklahoma.

Yes I was looking into Race Tech website and I saw their custom springs and springs services.  I will write them and see what they will say.  I am pretty much on the other side of the world so I think Cannon Racecraft wont work but I will see if someone else offers similar services in Europe maybe.
