I can't do another Alaska Winter so I am looking for a snowbirding house.

Wondering what people thoughts are of this area, I will be there from OCT-March/April.

Im also open to other places, just looking somewhere where a decent house can be bought for 250-330K

Why not just rent a furnished place for 6 months? Not really a great time to buy right now anyway with the prospect of value going down.

Kingman, AZ isn't bad, either, and I think the city is a little nicer: https://www.trulia.com/for_sale/Kingman,AZ/0-300000_price/SINGLE-FAMILY…

Be warned: Bullhead City has some crime. I don't know about Laughlin, but that place is a little janky-looking, also. (Kingman may be the same, for all I know.)

I'd recommend Havasu, AZ. Use it in the winter, rent it out by the week to boaters in the summer.

Might want to also give Parker Az. a look.  Like Havasu, right on the water, ride out your front door to endless trails.  Small town, bang for your buck real-estate market.  Down fall, two of the hottest (heat wise) cities in the state.

The plus side to Havasu vs Parker. Parker is solid party. Havasu more family boaters. If I'm renting a house, I think I'd rather rent to a family vs drunk college kids. Yes there are families at Parker too but more and bigger parties there.

My wife’s stepdad has a rental property in havasu. He rents it to snowbirds in the winter and lets family/friends stay there during the warmer months. Let me know if you’re interested. I could forward his info to you.
