I've had shoulder repair surgery twice in the last 7 years and my Doctor asked me what activities I enjoy and what my expectations were after it was done, told him I ride motocross and offroad dirtbikes and want to continue doing that until I'm too old to walk anymore. He said he had repaired the shoulders on one Pro Motocrosser that I might know and mentioned it was Brian Deegan. Thought that was kind interesting to hear, anyone else have a Doctor that understands the addiction and fixes us older farts that think we can still ride fast.
Dr. Milton Little at the Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles. He is a trauma orthopedic surgeon. His attitude is to get you back to where you were before your injury. I highly recommend him did a great job putting my leg back together. He and his team were the doctors that Tiger Woods went to to repair his leg after his car crash.
I think most people have a pretty good chance that Pastrana saw their doctor. lol
Woke up in the recovery room next to Cole Seely once. Had a drugged out moto conversation with him as they wheeled me out. Good times

Guess your surgeon doesn’t follow HIPAA laws by discussing other patients.
Well he had a big poster in his office signed by Brian Deegan thanking him for everything he did, so I don't think it's any secret.
I like most Moto guys, have my preferred Orthopedic Doctor on speed dial and I have used Dr. Derrick West in Okc for years and he is absolutely FABULOUS!!!
his policy is the exact same as what Fog25 mentioned above in that he is NOT happy until you are as good as you were pre-injury and I love that about him!
I know that he and his physician group see many of the top MX guys in Oklahoma but exactly who I’m unsure due to the HIPAA stuff that they follow!
Dr. West is a great guy and has put me back right every time I have needed his expertise, not to mention is just a top notch great dude with a great disposition and attitude toward those of us that enjoy risky endeavors! He has never ONCE given me the “aren't you old enough to know better” or “motocross is a dangerous/stupid hobby & your a fool for participating” speech or vibe etc! 😎 👍❗️
Ha ha…..you left that part out. Just said he told you he worked on him. I know even my little ortho place has local “stars” jerseys up and stuff from stick and ball sports.
It's amazing what some of these surgeons can do with arthroscopic surgery these days, I can't even tell my shoulders had surgery and feel stronger now then in the last 20 years, he showed me photos of before and after and it was a mess in there and I had tendon and muscles that were completely detached from the bone and when it was done it looked like everything was tied together with different colored shoe laces, not the traditional thread type stiches. When you find a good one, it's as if you'll never want to go see anyone else for any other future surgeries that might come up.
