Hi Guy's
After riding 23 model 350 a few weeks back I managed to grab a used one with 29hrs for a very reasonable price. Last weekend was my first ride on it and while I was reasonably happy with it I have an issue with the mapping switch.
Basically it is on map1 and when trying to swap between 1 & 2 it doesn't switch to map 2. When pressing the switch on map 2 it feels like the little button inside the switch is broken as you cant feel the click like it does on map 1 switch.
The previous owner was there on his new 300sx and felt it and agreed it didn't feel right and offered to purchase another switch which he has now done. However the switches are on back order until 24th April here in Australia which is a long wait.
Has anyone opened or tried to open the switch up at all. It has 2 tiny screws in the back which I took out but the switch doesn't seem to want to come apart and I certainly don't want to break it.
Any thoughts anyone?
I’m just thinking.. if it’s already broken, no harm in taking it apart right? If you take it totally off the bike reverts to map 1 anyways. Props to the owner that’s really cool of him too.
Tried to get it apart took the 2 small screws out from underneath but it didnt feel like coming apart. I didnt want to break it so I stopped at that point.
