Last time I used a company to do a revalve was in the early 1990's... they are long gone now.

Also I worked in the test and measurement field for a few years with the guys the developed lots of the technology used in that field today. Most of it was developed at HP labs. We delt with Bearing mfg's, Boeing, Freightliner, all the auto mfg'er at the time, the Navy, Airforce, turbine companies etc... A shock dyno uses a subset of this technology.

All you really need is a basic understanding of shim stacks. Pivot shims, various ways to build 2 stage stacks... etc. There is a guy on YouTube that goes by "The ohlins guy" that has some really good videos on shim stacks that's certainly worth viewing if you have an interest. Of course there are spring rates, preload etc... Oil levels... but once you start playing with it you can figure out ways to get the feel you want out of a a fork or shock.

Note:  imo If you have a 4cs fork - especially the 2016 varient.... Dump the internals and go with a different cartridge setup. You'll fight that bad design so... just skip it. And the KTM's from that time frame benefit greatly with a Luxon linkage.. or Procircuit etc. The stock linkage rates simple are not good. They were designed to help make the bike as light as they could make it. You can try and valve around it (and I did try) but it's much easier to get a linkage rate that is designed for performance - not so they mfg can put the lightest spring on the bike to keep the weight down.

Physical value of the parts aside, if I had a spare $30K I’d buy it. I would buy if for the cool factor and no doubt down the track someone will ask the question “wonder what ever happened to the Kawasaki Roczen was meant to ride?” - “didn’t some idiot with too much $$$ but it?”. I would happily be some idiot with a cool KX.

I agree. A kit is definitely on it right now and I doubt they take it off before selling it.
