Looking for some help on Florida tracks that will be open next Friday and Saturday for practice.
My brother and his family are headed south, from Illinois, for a Christmas ride vacation. He had their plans pretty well set until the weather started showing a cold front on 12/23 and 12/24. Can any of you provide some tracks they could ride and camp at on Friday and Saturday next week?
He has three kids (YZ65, E50, Stacyc) that like to ride but aren’t overly fast, so a kids track or track separate from the main track would be great for them to ride on.
Any help provided is greatly appreciated!
I'm not sure of their schedule, but https://www.facebook.com/paxtraxmx/ is exactly what they need.
They are planning to be at Pax Trax the 27th-29th. That is a great setup for what they are looking for. Just hoping to find something similar to that at or South of Orlando for the 23rd and 24th.
I’m in KY and I literally just gave up. It’ll take 12 hours in the car to get above freezing highs. Hats off to them. I hate winter.
Take the kids to Eric Sorbys new track in Brookesville FL. It is a very well built facility, he has a main track that is for vets and kids. He breaks it down to 15 min sessions alternating between vets and little bikes. Also has a separate peewee track and a Stacyc track.
You have to reserve your spot on his website ericsorbyusa.com it’s in French but there’s a button to click for English. My kid will be there on a Husky 50 12/24

Tampa MX and Moto Bros will be open.
There is croom. They have a real small track that is rarely open. But lots of riding for the kiddos. Lots of whoop practice too.

these are just real quick. Google Florida motocross tracks and it actually gives you a lot of good locations.
Everyone has pretty much nailed all of the main tracks. It really depends on location.
Spyder is pretty much always open (only groomed on certain days though). They have an indoor little bike track for the little dudes. Its kind of hit or miss there on how good the track is but they're always open. This will be the ONLY track open on a Friday (unless some tracks decide to open up since they'll be closed on Sunday). You'll just have to look the rest of the guys up on FB.
Pax is just awesome and has a good kids track. Run by good people too.
Motobro's is in Okeechobee. It's a bit pricey but the facility is top notch. They have a main track and a more mellow track plus a pitbike track.
Orlando is always fun for some good sand riding and they have a little kids track as well.
Croom is fun for sand riding but i personally would never in a million years go there on a weekend. It's full of people that really don't know what they're doing. We go early on weekday mornings sometimes and it's fun.
Bostwick is a fun track. Not sure if they'll be open or not though.
Anybody know if Sandbox does anything daily or weekly for randos or do you have to train there full-time to ride?
