Decided to take to the short trip to RedBud with my dad and brother. Spent the money on the platinum vip after thinking about the rain in 2018 and the vip parking for my 60 yr old dad. Plus, I thought it would be cool to be able to be above the starting line. We met a lot of cool people along the way and made some friends in the vip tent all weekend. Figured I’d post up a short photo recap of our experience. I’ll break it up into a few posts. All pics are off my phone.

Sunday - Part 2
Sunday was amazing as far as I’m concerned. We arrived early, grabbed a table at the front of the tent and avoided the rain until the b final. After eating lunch we headed to the starting line skybox. During the sight lap of the first moto, a guy squeezed in next to me, trying to “scout some gates”. John Tomac. I told him that I’d move over for a legend and to help the team. Also shared how we just watched them drag a bunch of slop into the first 4 gates. He said it was good advice and put his headset back on. Cooper lined up in gate 6, minutes later. Instantly after the final flag flew in the 3rd moto, people starting jumping the fence and rushing the start. The atmosphere was unlike anything I’ve been around.

Nice pics!! Thanks again for dropping off ice each morning for the gimp. Thinking an Air BnB and VIP tickets might be the way to go next time.

Not a problem! It shocked me how easily we drove around in the morning. Much less in and out each day. Drove right to your site each morning, before heading up the hill to vip parking. Our longest exit was probably 30 mins, on the way out Sunday night. We also had to wait on the road Sunday morning until about 6:30. Woman at the gate was clearly confused and didn’t know when the gates were suppose to open. I can recommend a nice 3bd lake house For an Airbnb
