Backfire screen CRF

Hey
Anyone have remove the stock backfire screen of the 450 CRF 2022 ?
Good différence or not ?

I have ran with and without and the difference is negligible. I leave it in simply to catch any stray particles that find their way in the airbox or when I remove dirty filters.

Most people cut them out or use an aftermarket cage that doesn’t have one.

Yeah for other brand you can just buy other filter cage

But for CRF you have to remove directly on the airbox

I use maxima or twin air filters. The OEM filter is actually a very good filter too IMO, just a little bit harder to clean (the dense inner foam likes to collect sand/grit). Like the other poster mentioned, twin air and DT1 offer an aftermarket cage, but they require a specific filter for that application (nearly $40 a filter)
