Not unpleasant...
Still, I don't see the point.
But I wish you a lot of people who feel the other way...
There is a serious point to this, it will become apparent very very shortly, trust me on that!!

Good sir please do a 23 model restyle kit for current gen ktm's
You know, it was just a few months back, when guys were complaining about how ugly the new KTM's were... the 'sharp shrouds will take out eyeballs'.... now, you want them as restyle sets for older models!
See what happens in future. Some cool new stuff is coming, will surprise everyone!!

Why is it that honda and the other japanese bike still use a from number plate with the plastic loop that goes over the handlebars. obviously it provides little to no value, is a legality thing with patent infringements or something like that??

I literally wondered exactly that a while ago, seeing a particular Kawi with a Fatbar and the superfluous plastic dealy flapping about at the track.

Would also be interested in the answer, as there has to be a reason, or they'd just bin it and simplify their moulds.
I always understood the purpose of the plastic loop to be to help prevent the front brake line from dropping behind the front number plate when the fork is compressed. How necessary is it? Probably debatable.

It's easy to see... fully depress your fork, see where the line sits.... at speed, this thing is flipping all over the place... that loop is meant to stop the hose catching behind the plate. KTM group have a cool solution, on MX and Enduro models. If you don't want the loop, a sharp craft knife, it's gone. But, just beware of catching... can tear the hose off at the master.

Just there to keep the front brake hose from getting stuck behind the number plate.
I learned something today! Literally never knew that was the purpose and that makes complete sense.
