I have a 1996 cr 125 that I bought a year ago not running. Tore the whole bike down and did complete rebuild on everything, had the motor rebuilt by local tech, replaced everything, crank, trans bearings, all seals, cylinder was sent to millennium for a repair and recoat, sent them the power valves for checking, cleaning and assembly, new piston, need reeds, new pro circuit exhaust, got a new air striker carb from jd settings with his jet kit, reassembled the bike and it doesn't make an attempt to start, checked compression. It's at 185 psi with a Mac guage, have bright blue spark at the plug, the flywheel trigger is right at the pickup when piston is at tdc, I even put some gas in the cylinder and it doesn't fire. I'm kinda of stumped, if the builder put the piston in backwards would it still have that kind of compression? I just don't understand how it can have 185 psi and put gas in the cylinder and still not even attempt to fire with good spark. Any ideas

even though i didnt get any responses, i got it figured it. had a brand new spark plug it it, whit the spark plug pulled and lay on the cylinder i had a nice blue spark, had out 6 times checking compression, putting fuel in the cylinder, pulled the exhaust to make sure the piston wasn't in backwards, pulled the carb to check float levels and jetting, put it all back together and still no fire. finally at last hope stuck another new plug in and fired on first kick. cant explain it, never seen it before, butt it runs in 1 to 2 kicks now.
