Hy everybody,
I need help… i have at home a pairs of hrc triple clamps that measure in the top clamps 54mm holes…
I need to fit a factory 49 mm showa that measure 55mm on the top clamps area… Someone know if is good increase the bore at 56mm on the top clamps? Someone did it before?
Best regards

Don’t take my word for it, but as I recall the HRC clamps don’t have a whole lot in the way of material to spare in the clamp loops.

I mean we’re talking 54 to 55 millimeters so it’d be 0.5” on the radius.

Personally, I wouldn’t chance it but also the bottom clamp is usually under more load at any given time.

Maybe someone can give their $0.02 but I wouldn’t chance it unless it’s going to be a display piece.

Yes… i think the same, material is really really calculated… i have started the topic for this reason… i’m a mechanic and at the same time i had think that 0.5mm in the radius is really not so much…
