MX has restored a couple of '87 CR125s here and according to him, the later model clutch cover through I believe '01 is a bolt-on

barkhard, yes the 87-2002 are the same (with a minor arm swap and black paint) but if you have an 86 or older the newer ones won't work.

I have a CR 250 r from 1994 and the clutch i saw is the same with the CR125. I ask for a new one but tha answer it was, for this year i will not find anymore. So this is the reason why i want to make in the CNC machine this part , and yes also i have this possibility . So would be great if you could help me with a 3D model. Thanks.

I have received a request from a customer to manufacture some billet aluminium clutch and waterpump covers for a 1985 CR125 to replace the heavily corroded magnesium ones he has, and was directed by the owner to this site to see if there is any more interest?
I also would be very interested to hear which years this would fit i.e. '84 and '86 etc.
So if there is any interest in these, please post here and also post any other info that may be useful.
Also we are aiming to make this from aircraft grade aluminium 6082-T6 which is a slightly stronger alloy than the 6061 spec.
It would be a new design to enable the clutch to be worked on without removing the whole cover.
The price would be kept as low as possible and is looking like £295 / $475 will be likely. Please bear in mind the cost of the aluminium billet required as it is substantial.

Are you interested to make HONDA RACING ignition covers for the 1986 CR125? These will fit the 1984 and 1985.

Hey Rich,

Just curious when you model parts such as these clutch covers how to you go about figuring out what the bolt pattern is going to look like, as in how far away each hole needs to be from the last do you use an existing cover as measurement reference or can you figure it out other ways. Might be a stupid question but thought I might ask anyway.

Unfortunately I do not have any more clutch covers, they are all gone. I will not be getting anymore.

Hi Rich, Did this project get done?  Old thread I know guys. & I know all about the alloy repops,  have one of Russell Browns on my 84 125 but these with the removable clutch inspection part would be so cool.
