Any local fundraising ideas with a national in town?

Fundraising need : a local BMX track 15min up the road from Unadilla is trying to raise $5K more to repair their track after COVID shut it down last year. The Track Operator left and local volunteers are trying to get it going again for the local kids.

Does anyone have any experience fundraising in the local towns around a national? I live 2hrs from Unadilla and many times I've attended I see yard sales and kids selling stuff out of coolers to the lines of cars coming through. I was curious if anyone had any experience or interesting ideas with so many people driving through small towns. This all to support the same kind of racing that spawned Jeremy McGrath's SX style!

Shameless GoFundMe plug if you want to support the effort, but I think the topic is interesting in itself.

I think you should reach out to Weege and hopefully get a shootout in one of the pre race shows! He loves BMX because of his kids, and that would reach a few thousand people.

^ Cool idea. I saw Weege do a Vlog at a huge BMX track down south. I completely forgot about that connection. I know there are connections to the MX world is why I thought there could be something this track could do on race day. Davi Millsaps has a kid that races BMX at a competitive expert level for his age. Thanks for the idea.

I'll reach out to him about CNY BMX near dilla on Twitter, too. The more people he sees the from the more likely I would think he is to actually see it

I think mx sports often uses local youth organizations to do program sales at the event.

I would suspect that Unadilla has groups they use but couldn't hurt to check.
