'21 Yz450fx gap between 2nd and third

This gap is like... like a ktm xc-w. I kinda don't like it.. lol. I am considering going to a 49 tooth rear to one, stretch 2nd a hair and the same with third even. in both 2nd and 3rd which ever gear im in coming to the next5 corner... I feel like I run out of gear 20 or so yards before the berm.. maybe its just me. but the gap between the two gears is frustrating so my thought is stretching both gears a hair will help a lot. second, I think a tooth higher geared will take just a hair of the jumpiness out of the throttle. smooth it out just a hair other than mapping.

any one else run into these complaints...? I don't mean to over exaggerate but the complaint is there for me.

I've honestly never noticed it. I don't ride tracks though...I find the gearing really nice (which the exception of first gear being way to low...I almost never even use it).

You came from a motocross bike didn't you. Think is a common complaint for those of us that are used to moto close ratio transmissions. I don't like wide ratio either. Some gaps are either to little or too much. Close ratio seems to be even when changing gears

I went up one sprocket in the rear to make 3rd work better.
