Wanted to share experience and idea for anyone thinking about purchasing Moto Cinch tie downs. We used them on our 2 bike carrier.
Previously we were using 8 straps for 2 bikes on our double carrier. The load up took a minimum of 20 mins of sorting and placing straps and was a bit sketchy when done alone. Even after all the effort the bikes never felt completely secure. Removing the straps was also a pain as they never wanted to release.
Now with minor welding mods our carrier is able to utilize the Moto Cinch tie downs. Now I can single handedly lock and load or unlock and unload in under 3 mins with no dirt and sweat. The bikes get evenly pulled straight down from the pegs with no unnecessary pressure on the suspension. After a long day riding these Cinches are priceless. Also really like the fact that we can keep the Cinches in the non cinched position overnight to save the bikes suspensions. Note the "Cinches" are used in the carrier with the provided front brake velcro lock. This additionally keeps the bikes from any possible movement.
Here are some pics of our setup. Note bikes not fully "cinched" down yet.
