Bringing life back to my daughter's first dirt bike.
It's been sitting in the garage for 20 years.
As most projects go, I was just going to change oil, spark plug, and gas. (Thankfully I had drained the tank)
#1, I'm not doing an AMAZING build like JakeFortyEight (Kudos)
#2, I like original stock look for this one
Yes, VMX fenders are ordered, the rest of the plastics are good if not very good for original
The problem I have run into is the forks. At the bottom of the sliders there is an item called a "Check Valve".
It doesn't look like any check valve I've ever used. It's a plastic sleeve that slides halfway over #8

I cannot locate these any where,
What does everyone do when rebuilding the forks?
$1,000+ for Race Tech is overkill to say the least for a Play Bike when she has more Bikes to ride than I do.

I used thin wall clear tubing of the right size .. can’t recall the size now. Happened to have some overflow pipe / hose from a small dehumidifier that was perfect. It’s a stretch to call it a check valve Smile

Thanks Matt,
I haven't found anything yet that matches. Did you use a hard or flexible material?
The wrinkles in the intact one suggests it is/was very flexible.
