I tore this engine down in 1985.
35 1/2 years later I'm trying to put it back together. When I unboxed everything this plastic washer/spacer was with the clutch parts. I've been thru the shop manual page by page, Looked at every parts schematic.
I've reassembled the lower end twice trying to find a place for this.
Driving me crazy because this is the only part I can't find a home for.

This washer fits really nice on the center gearshift drum. But when I try to assemble it the thickness of the washer keeps the center gearshift drum from engaging the dowel pin in the gearshift drum, so I know it doesn't go there.
