Do you use Photomatix or some other program to get that effect? I'm trying to learn more about this....

Yes, photomatrix is pretty much the standard for HDR

So how do you shoot the original that you use for this? I don'r understand how to get action shots to import into this program.

im no pro at this, and ive only done still HDRs, but if you shoot in raw, you can adjust the exposure in pp, so by making 2 copies and by over/underexposing the two copies 2 stops you can combine them and make an hdr action photo.....i think.

Ding Ding Ding. Well done sir. However I didn't shoot in RAW. I simply adjusted original photo in Pshop and saved it as a different name. It's not perfect, but it's the only way possible and it's trick.

So what setting in PShop did you mess with before saving the different pictures.

Ok i did this one by changing the RGB levels in Photoshop and saving three different frames then combined them in Photomatix.

I opened the original pic in Pshop, adjusted the exposure down 2 then saved it as a different name. I did this with a -2,-1,+1,+2, then threw them all into photomatrix and played around with it till I liked what I saw.
