SHOEI Helmet Sizing

Does anyone know if SHOEI helmets have a unique shell for each size helmet?

Some manufacturers will have one shell that covers two sizes, like an XL and XXL is the same shell, just a different liner.

Shoei has four shell sizes between XS and XXL.

I know when I tried them on before I bought the new model I was between a small and a medium. I bought the medium because it fit the top of my head better, then bought bigger cheek pads that they offer and it fits perfect. They offer quite a few different sizes of the cheek pads

You can get different padding for the helmet to ensure a proper fit. If you’re in SoCal Shoei offers custom measuring at their offices. I have always worn size L helmets but was surprised when I got fitted for a Shoei they told me I was a Medium. Love my VFX-EVO

I wear xl in all other helmets and the xl shoei was way too big. Also seemed quite heavy with the xl shell
