Would be a good job for someone young looking to get into the industry or just wanting to be with a team for the experience thru all 17 rounds.



2020 Supercross Series Traveling Intern Mechanic/Helper Wanted - Team Tedder/Monster Energy/Lucas Oil/KTM Racing is seeking an intern Mechanic/Helper to travel with the team throughout the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross Series. Intern will travel with the Team Driver to all venues with big rigs throughout the United States Series. Team Tedder will have two 450 riders aboard Factory KTM 450’s competing for the Series Championship.

is it me, or does Tedder racing advertise a hell of a lot for people? is it high turnover of guys, or just the way it is for small teams,

As the driver I have worked with some good interns in the past, but most don’t stay long due to not wanting to be away from home or have other full time jobs that they needed to get back too...

But if your hard working and willing to learn the Tedders and crew members will keep you around for as long as you want to stay...

by intern i presume its unpaid? so I can see why its high turnover, may not be a bad gig if you want to get in and have the means to be unpaid for a while,

maybe its just because the jobs are advertised on here that i think there is a few of them,

It honestly really all depends. But for sure all your meals are paid for and you are taken care of while on the road which is 99% of the time ... that’s why it’s a better job for someone 18-20 that doesn’t have any bills...

I Have always wished to work in the industry, of course the dream of Being a pro rider is always first. But I started riding dirt bikes at 12 late by pro standards and the family wasn't involved, so I knew that wasn't an option pretty quickly.
But the dream of wanting be In the industry and Be involved in some way has never faded for me and I'm 43 now, so I totally wish I had persued something like this to make connections.
I think it's a great opportunity for someone to get a foot in the door in an industry were a lot depends on connections.

Hmm, being a trainee mechanic and traveling around the United States is very cool and fun, especially for young guys. Yes, being an intern means that you will receive little or no money at all, but just imagine what a cool experience it is! At one time I was an intern with similar guys and we traveled all over Europe. We visited different countries and different places, and I gained experience in traveling, began to navigate in an unknown area and studied Europe. It was cool, so I advise everyone, Colt has the opportunity to try. Years later, I went on a trip with my wife and we drove through the same places where I was in my youth. This ride was the best, and all because I was a trainee in my youth and already knew what traveling was.
