Riders in the US (and team members and managers) tend to hold back and put whipped cream on dog poopie because you can hardly say anything without people freaking out.

You don't see the same in Europe. Riders can speak more freely and people don't freak out. When the Langston's were getting ready to make the move, his dad Gerald told me that people warned him to watch what you say in the US cause people are so touchy.

I could tell the difference in how riders like Tortelli and Roncada spoke in the US vs Europe pretty easy. They went right to smack talk sometimes over there. Seb hardly said anything here.

People should relax, encourage some smack, lay the fuck off Larry already, and try and not discourage it with endless negativity. It might be good for the sport to make it interesting and fun.

Lay off Larry? Why? We are just giving it to him straight...isn't that what he's all about?

Why does he need to be pampered?

Stewart could have won on any team or as a privateer for that matter.
If LB was the greatest manager in the world Stewart wouldnt have come to A1 with a bike that handled like a Bultaco.
How long is Stewarts contract with San-Manuel?
and joe fucking montana would have won all those superbowls whether or not bill walsh was the manager.

you bet....

I like smack talk form the riders......Its much bettered than the powdered sponsor speeches.
Brooks on the other hand is a manager....he's supposed to act a little more civilized.
He's a dick plain and simple.

I agree with you Teef on that. People seems more jumpy in the US. Anyone recall the "good stuff" at MT! Smile But this is a double egde sword? These forums glow when there's bashing going on. "We" love to bash, and tnx to Larry we have something to talk about. I guess deep down people are really grateful towards Larry, but they might just not know it yet! Smile

I think its cool, entertaining and interesting when someone is being rightfully questioned (I think Larry said stupid stuff). What I do not like is the people that jump the bandwagon, and bring old agendas into the discussion and start the name calling (BoobM gets a constant freecard because he does it with such finesse). A bit sad how it's impossible to talk about the topic without being emotional (you ever victim of that LOL).

I claim It's sane to question and to argue, but it bad that it always gets blown out of proportion around here.

Did you know someone spitted Bauer in the face because of the forum? Talk about people being jumpy Sad

yea...yer right. pro sx/mx isn't a team sport at all....just the bike and its rider. man and machine vs man and machine.

Brooks may or may not have been the winning factor but he sure could have been the losing one...could have.
