We are racing for Gavin Dygert, a 13 year old born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome from Canajoharie, NY. His true love is dirt bikes, but is unable to race due to his condition. Read his full story below!
This race will be part of the 2019 Nightcross Series and points will be awarded for every regular class offered this night.

COME WATCH PRO RACERS THURSDAY NIGHT BEFORE THEY HEAD TO NATIONALS AT UNADILLA MX!
GATE FEE $15
KIDS UNDER 12 ARE FREE!
GATES OPEN AT 3 PM
PRACTICE AT 6 PM
RACE IMMEDIATELY TO FOLLOW
Due to time constraints and in conjuction with Unadilla MX, we will not have quad racing at this event.

Pro Class - [2 heat races, LCQ & Main Event - 15 minutes +2 laps]
**Expert purse is 100% payback. Payout 1 place for every 3 riders.**
Remember, Moto Mission is ALWAYS Racing for a Reason and for this race, our reason is Gavin Dygert from Canajoharie, NY!
Gavin is a 13 year old boy who was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, essentially “half a heart”. He has a 2 chamber heart while the rest of us have a four chamber heart.
He under went his first open heart surgery at 6 days old to “re-wire” his circulatory system so his right side could pump and receive. At 6 months old he went in for his second heart surgery and was out in 3 days. His final open heart surgery was when he was just two years old. This was the final step in re-wiring his heart, lungs and circulatory system. He had major set backs during his stay. But he fought hard and we were released after 45 days at Albany med.
Despite all of that, Gavin is a regular 13 year old kid! He races wing champ karts for WCRS and is a natural! His TRUE LOVE is dirt bikes and atvs but sadly he is unable to race motocross as it would physically be too exhausting and dangerous for him. He loves to bang around the yard and trails on his Yamaha TTR90.
We are HONORED to dedicate this race to Gavin where he will be able to meet pro racers and have a great evening of local motocross excitement!
A portion of the gate fees and 50/50 will be donated directly to Gavin.
