I live in the middle of the circle, Veghel. We have a lot of tracks around our place, mainly open on wednesdays, a few on tuesday. 99% are sand track, but not so rough in the summer (for dutch standards) because of the heat. But if you are used to US practice tracks, you will be a bit worn out in the end of the day.. Wink Have fun.

I have made your issue a little more insightful for you... Yellow circle Ghent, Bruges and Brussels only one permanent track around... distance Lommel - Bruges 2h. 33 min. (161,6 km ) you crosspass the whole country ( 5 hour back and fort a little too much for a city trip imo ) I think you take the route the soleil followed by Luxembourg, Liege so Genk and Grevenbroich - Germany are pretty close so maby start here with your planning / vacation?! Or you start in Dunkirk and Lille and in the late afternoon sightseeing Bruges and Ghent.

South Netherlands + East of the country
North Belgium
North/West Germany
+
North France... this is basically the whole scene ( 50+ tracks within 4 hour driving distance )

If you ride competition in the weekends, you only need 1 hour practice on Tuesdays / Wednesdays to stay in shape... the rest is cycling, swimming, jogging etc. However, teams need also some testing now an then so Lommel, Veldhoven and MC Flevolnd have no noice restrictions ( and almost open 7 days a week ) Lommel Is loceted in a industial erea and Veldhoven and MC Flevoland are locted next to the ladingstrip of a Airport that’s why you hear those names so often... and 10 years ago or so Belgium was a tax haven ( like Florida ) personlly I don’t get it why foreigners still go for Lommel ( Belgium tax haven is gone and we have only 2 and half real sand GP’s left ) btw Holland has the lowest corporate tax ask Yamaha and Kawasaki both headquarter down here.
