Look what I just found

I remember this quite well and I do remember the sign in the article Guyb wrote about the incident. There was a full on confrontation between these guys and our group and we were tossed and they stayed. Maybe the racist claims are true. MX338 officials and the AMA dealt with this situation poorly. Possibly their behavior is acceptable and shouldn't be questioned. God I wish I saw this article and photo earlier. 10 million a year. That's a lot of "Fuck you" money. Too much to deal with that.

Seems to me SX only teams and contracts are still fairly new and these contracts need to evolve a bit more. Maybe James signed a contract at the time he thought was great but 5 - 6 months later its not looking as good as he remembers it was. Fair enough have a SX only team and sign up a rider for SX only but he shouldnt be obligated to sit on the couch when there are races being raced. If another team wants to pay him to race that option should be there.

On a side note, If L& M cant see any marketing potential in the nationals for their sponsors with a rider potentially winning every moto then why would any body bother doing them? It seems amazing to me. Fair enough the team manager might want a life away from racing until SX starts up again but hey find a fill in team manager?

So, basically what you are saying is that just because all the other teams are racing the nationals they are making money?

Its a business so Yes (well the sponsors at least). Sure some sponsors are in it for the love of racing, maybe some find the expense out weighs the profit but the main ones are there for marketing purposes to sell more product wheather it be bikes, cans of Monster or what ever. Do you really think theyd be there if it wasnt creating sales? Its just business and if a team cant capitalize with a rider going 1 -1 every week then they are missing something.
