Pro Art Works Helmet, Do they still paint them...

im looking to get a shoei vfx-w painted like Travis' old vfx-r with the spiral on top, does any one know if its possible to get this done? if so please tag your people that may do it, i would like to have it done pretty noticeable, almost like the real thing, can any one help me source someone?

I did one like that as one of my first practice helmets. I was just thinking about finishing it by throwing some clear coat on there just to preserve it and make it actually look shiny. I promise I've gotten better since then.

ok, do you think you could do it on a vfx-w and honestly i mean do you think you could trust yourself doing this and it turning out like the one i posted above?

Yeah I could. I really didn't know what I was doing at that point with that one. I remember trying to paint when it was cold and it would bubble up like crazy. I could cut the stars out of chrome vinyl to make then look just like the original. I tried to do gold and silver leaf on my original and it didn't go very well. It could take a while though. I work full time and have two helmets that I'm trying to finish right now. Would you want it to be just like the above picture or more like any other of his helmets? I have pics of my work on my Instagram @vanillaice782

i want it to be just like the picture i posted, a straight replica just on the vfx-w.

It's a shame that Pro Art Works isn't around anymore. He painted an original VFX for me in 1996 and it was my all time favorite helmet. I believe the owners name was Barry Gibson.

I could do it. I remember the trickiest thing being lining up the curved lines because it's a lot easier to lay down a straight line. it would definitely be easier to just replicate the mass produced version because there aren't any cartoons on it. Have you looked into Tagger designs? He redoes older designs all the time.
