You’d be the only one to know if it was.

Perfect revenge would be taking the trophy back at Assen. Hope they train well for the sand and keep training right up to the race. I'm sure Eli would not have been happy with losing like they did.

If you were at Red Bud you witnessed first hand how much more aggression the GP guys attacked the track with and how much more important the event is to them than it is to our guys. The history and importance of the event and national pride meant way more to the GP guys. They put everything on the line every inch of the track. It's like they were willing to suffer far more than the usa based riders. For free. Zero money.

Fame and fortune means more to our guys. It's the american way. That is what happened to us mx.

Well said Davey ! People seems to forget how odd the conditions of this MXON were and how it doesn't reflect the reality at all !

For example, do you really think Coldenhoff could destroy the field here and get a 450 Outdoor title ? Give me a break please. We all know how an average rider can outperform during an MXON but it doesn't mean he can do that all year long.

I'm sure USA will come back with a bang in the next few years so please Davey keep the MX series strong with great tracks and nice prep.

Also Davey, is it really impossible to move the end of the Nationals at the begining of September and negociate an MXON in the middle of September ? Because i strongly believe the month off between the end of the Nationals and the MXON is what hurts the USA the most !

Thx
The issue with US Nationals is the tracks. When it nice weather they are not challenging enough for a rider like Coldenhoff to excel on.

US riders are really fast, could beat anyone in the world on the right spectrum of tracks.

But when the conditions go off that spectrum they fall behind.

Redbud was gnarly, the rain, the heavy sand, the long ruts bring another dimension the US guys just dont have the experience on. This is exactly what we saw playout.

Coldenhoff looked like a he was on a regular winter training session, short shifting, huge corner speed, keeping bike light, using the torque, smart riding.

US guys were totally out of there depth, looking like they were trying to learn how to ride this shit.

Ultimately US need to step up to world level GP racing if they want to be competitive in the future MXON events.

Sometimes pride & achievements mean more then money. No one will remember you for your bank balance.
