Since the CPSIA lead law ban on mini vehicles has taken place, there has been a lot of work from the industry to try to change the law. There is now a new bill in the Senate that hopefully will overturn the ban.

S 608 as introduced amends the CPSIA by specifying that repair or service of a dirt bike or ATV is not construed as selling one, and it amends the age of "product designed for" to 7 years for ATV's and motorcycles.

It's almost what we need (except for the PW50 class...). It would be simpler to make it exclude motorized OHV's from the law entirely, the same way that federally-defined Motor Vehicles are already excluded from the law.
