I'm looking for any stories on the 1974 NMA National held at this track. If anyone has any, pls scan and e-mail to gurquhart@tuckerrocky.com. I ran two class that weekend, 100 and 125 expert. Being from Texas, I never saw any program nor any stories.

somewhere in that timeframe I won a national race there, it was in the 100cc class, I don't remember the year, I will see if I can find anything on it. I do no it was the biggest trophy I had ever won, it was like 5 feet tall

I ran 100 expert and won the first two motos but threw a chain in moto 3 and took second overall. I'd be cool to catch up with the overall winner. I had the same thing happen in 125 expert, win first 2 motos and disaster struck in moto 3 and took another second overall. I was #622 on Yamahaa.

I saw a rider named Todd Hempstead beat Broc Glover and all the other Factory 125 riders at a AMA winter National there.

yes one of the roughest tracks in Florida except Sharpes and along with Todd there were many who would lay the wood against any and all comers factory or not if you didnt ride those tracks on a regular basis you were going to get whipped

I remember it being rough as he**. I think they ran the 100 and 125 experts back to back at the NMA National I'm referring to ('74).
