Yeah i know it's quite awhile in the future but all i'm saying is that the next gen consumers wont be watching TV.
Sure, I believe that. But until ratings numbers follow that theory, television rules the day.

Working for a company that sponsors the series, TV DEFINITELY MATTERS compared to online streaming.
Can you quantify that though, is exposure to 100,000 people who are watching cos its on, better than 8000 online who are 100% of your target audience.

Obviously we are in the UK, but we have plenty of Fly stuff , because you support the sport, and because you support Pulp, and its decent stuff, not because we see your name on TV

TV isnt going to make me buy anything, as a Moto fan, i buy Red Bull because they support the sport and the teams, and i will buy stuff based on what i like and see , whether that is online live ( which i pay for) or on You Tube , or RacerX .

The bigger point is that we sell FLY to many, many people that are casual fans that like riding dirtbikes. They will turn on the TV to watch but they aren't going to buy an app and live stream it onto anything. If it's easy, they will watch. They don't even race typically but they ride for fun in the woods or at a riding area. Those are the people we need to reach with mainstream television. The hardcore racers and fans will go to the ends of the earth to watch. I know because I am one of them. The casual fan won't. They need the racing to be at a decent time and easy to get to or they will just find something else to do. A very large percentage of FLY customers are that casual dirtbike rider and that's why we need TV and coverage in as many areas as possible. If we ONLY sold to the hardcore racer, no one would be able to sustain their existence. We need any and all dirtbike riders to be engaged.

They should hold it midsummer IMO. Many leagues have all star games, soccer has international windows. Schedule around American football, top soccer leagues, international soccer tournaments. Nothing but baseball and MLS in the summer! Could build a great tradition with a mid summer race, could attract a lot of new viewers.

Here's a question I've never seen asked: why do we have two (SX/MX) championships in the first place? Why don't we just have one championship that includes both? It could, perhaps, start outdoors in late summer at the tracks in the midwest and northeast and then head steadily west before finally going indoors once the cold weather sets in, with the title chases being settled in Anaheim in say, March. That would insure that 'outdoors' would stay relevant and vital, and would also insure that the series has a uniqueness that the MXGP series does not - because you have to compete both indoors and out. Am I nuts?

Not many double headers , we did Lommel / Switzerland this year , Latvia/ Germany is doable as is UK / France , but the rest are hard work.

The solution is simple. Drop like 8 rounds of SX and add a few rounds of MX and make it fit. I know there's a lot of money in SX but damn it gets quite boring halfway through the season

Good luck with that plan.

Well I totally agree with him, once it gets warm outside, March, I'm done with SX. I know I keep hearing its where the money is, but the current SX series is a bore after the first few rounds after the excitement of racing restarting for the year.
