ArrowAngel KX's ( 99 KX250)

So here it is, just sharing my ongoing project.

Ill start with a little background and then go on!

I started riding in 2015, early spring in Canada, stumble across an okay looking 2002 KX125, loved the bike , had some great projects for it.



Then couple months after stumbled upon this 01 KX250, ended up selling it to a friend, was too much for me, 5'10 155lbs, novice rider.




After I sold it , did couple mods to the 125, graphics, rear shock rebuild, top end with replated cylinder, ss braided brake lines, tires ,



Last summer I tried harescramble, placed 2nd in the beginner 18+ class.



first race, first holeshot, I was happy



Then family issues came in October, had to sell the bike , wasn't a fun time really,

December came, was missing working on my bike, so I started looking around and found this old piece of junk.

1999 KX250. completely thrashed, but for 300$ Canadian I took it home. Everything was pretty much in boxes, but everything was there, with an extra transmission, extra crank with an hot rod connecting rod on it. Its a slow project and nothing like lipskawa project, I cannot afford all the fancy works parts .

I started by stripping it to bare frame, bearing were shot , everyone of them, suspension needs a complete overhaul, everything was dirty and not maintained.



I stripped the frame, primed it, painted it black, I hope to get it running this year so I have something to ride. and I will powdercoat everything next winter.



Started cleaning the cases



ordered all new cases bearings



I then found a Pro-Circuit platinum pipe for 100$ Canadian ( 70ish USD) locally,picked that up



I also bought from him an 03-07 flo green fender , that is still in shipping.

cylinder is gone for replating, then I will assemble the engine, and start working my way around suspension, then drive,wheels, etc.

this is how it sits right now in the basement.
