New gun for my boy

Mentioned in a previous post about my good news about expecting my first son July 25th. His first name is going to be Colt. Picked him up his first gun today. A 1972 Colt Frontier .22. Decent price, but no box or .22 magnum cylinder. The shop had another one but wanted to much for it. She will be a safe queen for a while.

I buy my son a new gun every year (mostly). He's up to quite a collection, as he just turned 18 this past weekend.

That's pretty awesome JRT812. He will love it when the time comes.

My youngest daughter loves to shoot with me and is pretty darn good. I gave her the S&W K22 Masterpiece my grandfather gave to me when I was 12. When she turned 14, I passed it on to her. She loves the gun and will enjoy it for the rest of her life and will pass it on to her kids one day after I am long gone. And that makes me happy.

AHRMA361 - love hearing stories like that! Wish I still had my old Remington pump .22 that I would shoot at my grandfathers. The lady he married sold everything after he passed and didn't tell the family. That is a really special heirloom you gave her and I hope it always stays within the family.
