Hey guys and girls, please take a look at this youtube-clip and tell me if this is normal.

This is after a full rebuild of the engine. Bought it as a no runner with locked up crankcase, so didn't think about checking gears properly before teardown.
Seems like the lever won't move down a bit beyond first gear, can't recall it being like that on any bike I've ever owned or ridden before, there's always been a space so you've been able to keep pressing it further even though it obviously doesn't catch any more gears.
I've taken the gearbox apart two times now, verified that all spacers are in the correct place and checked shift forks and gears for wear. Can't find anything wrong.
Just kind of wondering if the lever really should be solid for any downward movement when down in first gear on these bikes.
