I started working on the swingarm. I need to replace the bearings, make a chain slide, fix the axle adjusters, brush with wire wheel, and add sticker. First I removed the bearings. Using 2 sockets and a vise is an easy way to nake this work. Make sure the 1 socket is slightly smaller then the swingarm hole. And make sure the other socket is larger then the bearings. Clamp in vise and start to press old bearing out...if the sockets are the wrong size you will be in for a long day. Once I had the old bearing out I cleaned the area where they go with carb cleaner...now they are ready for new bearings but not before I wire brush the entire arm.

Stevie D gave me some great insight on how to remake a chain slide. He also includes some material to do the job when I purchased the chain roller lowering kit from him and the slotted brake stay arm. All you need to do is put masking tape on the swingarm over the area where the chain slide goes. Mark the holes and draw your design. Take the tape off. Lay it over the rubber and drill and cut out. It work very well for me and was super easy. I'm sure you could get more creative but I went with simple on the design.

I got to work on the axle chain adjusters. These were in pretty rough shape. I cut off the old threads and had a buddy weld on some new pieces then cleaned them up. I also have him making me a new front axle.

Made alot of progress on the bike. Got the swingarm back. Pressed in the bearings and installed the chain slide. Out it in the bike and have the rear end locked down. I need to cut the chain and adjust axle and its a wrap. Also my buddy finished up the front axle. I rebuilt the forx but need some fluid to finish the front up. Still waiting on some new graphics...they have been the worse part of the build.
