Hey everybody got a 99 kx250 i restored top to bottom mechanically so everything is perfect. Now I'm focusing cosmetic wise on the bike. First off I got brand new wheels for the bike, black rims, green hubs and black spokes with green nipples. Now I'm focusing on powder coating. I'm not sure whether to leave the frame green (which is in good shape at the moment tbh) and just powder coat the swingarm black or if I should powder coat both the frame and subframe and swingarm black. Opinions on which I should do would be greatly appreciated

I would find a good local shop that does good media blasting and invest in a good case and frame clean. Then choose to acid wash, cerakote, or anodize for the case. Then either replace wheels or, powdercoat rims and get new hubs. Frame in black because it is very difficult to match the light green with new plastics.

I appreciate the advice man. I have brand new wheels in my garage just gotta install them. Black wheels with green hubs and black spokes and green nipples and would it look good if I kept the frame the green as it is now just a nice clean and powdercoat the swingarm black??

I'd powdercoat the frame green and just clean the swingarm with scratch bright so it comes back to new. Scrub down all the aluminum parts with scotch bright. The whole bike will look new.

I'm not into the swingarm powdercoat because it will start to chip and scratch then look like crap.
