Thanks. Eli's always fun to talk to.

It's always odd for me because I spent so much time shooting his dad on mountain bikes back in the day.

It's crazy getting old. That is its seems like the first time he was actually relaxed talking and smiling

By the way, you got a mention on the Rail The Berm BMX podcast the other day. I forget the time stamp, but they were talking about print magazines now compared to back in the day and you're name was mentioned along with other guys that worked in the magazines

I'm glad I worked on magazines in that era, but my biggest use for them these days is to throw them on eBay and see what they'll fetch. In the last couple weeks I've sold almost $400 worth of vintage BMX stickers there in the last week, and have a batch of magazines up there now that end on Sunday.

I may be off on these numbers, but thy mentioned one of the magazines (I think it was mike carruth talking about but I could be wrong) went from selling like 190,000 copies to 20,000. It was crazy listening to it. That era seems like it was an awesome time to be involved in BMX.

Circulation was definitely up there back in the day. Print publishing is a tough game to be in these days, and while moto will never be known as the most eco-friendly sport (unless electric bikes take over), I do like not killing all those trees. Smile

I like how under the radar he's gone this off season, just doing his work.

Also the comment about him not really testing tells me very comfortable on his bike and IMO was a big reason why we didn't see the Eli of old in 2016. If he truly is happy with the bike I think the competition could have some trouble on their hands. We'll see, I could definitely be proven wrong.

Always hard to tell, but agree good signs. Last year he did not look comfortable and like he was trying to force things. Corner speed and general flow looked to be down.
