I loved the new elements of that track. It was obviously very hard for the riders to get any rhythm which made for some great battles. Lets hope we see more motocross inspired tracks in the future.

Gnarly track...can we use that word on here? Anyway, I LIKED the A2 track....loose dirt, unusual turns...very outdoorsey...almost slightly RETRO, even though the powers canceled RETRO NIGHT

Cool

I saw quite a few "retro" people running around trying to carry on the theme from last year...

Th layout was interesting but it looked like a lot of follow the leader as far as racing action.

Did anyone actually use the other side of that split lane after the first turn? Every single rider that was on camera in the main was shown using the same side.

It looked like they blocked off the left side of that split lane after the start. Looked like they had some tuff blocks on the track. They never gave a reall good view of the outside lane in that turn after the start so I could be wrong.

The webcast described any rider trying the left lane either lost time or at least couldn't make the pass if they tried it.

So, I presume it was open/available all night long.

If there was traffic it was used but it was the slower line. The broadcast didn't show when Reed, Bubba, Dungey etc., hit the wall after it, at speed and flat-landed the space after the wall. It seemed like they did that when they went to the left portion and were trying to make up time. The track only had a few places where a pass could take place. First-base side rhythm section was the place where it seemed most took place.

The triple onto the table was taking people out all day.. even the top pros were crashing all over the place.

They could've made that split work if they would've ramped the wall out on the outside giving them a chance to regain some of the time they lost in the right hander and use their speed from the berm.

Problem is the right side allows you to carry speed through the corner previous, and take the shorter line into the wall. The only reason an outside in a 90 is faster is if you need the speed exiting the corner, when you have to stop for a wall anyways you're destined to lose time going the extra distance. The left line also set you up poorly for the double that followed, and the corner after that.

Overall, I like the track because it was different, but I still think more can be done to open up more lines.

It seems the track the riders hate the most provide the best racing action for the fans. When was the last time we had a four way battle for the lead that lasted more than two corners. Getting a start was key, but obviously Chad didn't have any problems moving up.

Almost always, one side will be faster and "the line". the only place i've seen this work was at Glen Helen where they had a sandy split lane that ran for 4 turns and I really seemed equal whatever line you used

I thought the track needed some passing lanes.

The fact that all the turns were not 90's and 180's was nice.
