Last Saturday I picked up an 89 KX 125 in boxes.... 3x frames/subframes, 2x forks and shock, 2 rear wheels and 1 front, 3x pipes, 2 stock and 1 fmf, 1x tank, painted dark green, 2x seat base and foam, complete ish engine in pieces inc carb and electrics, a box of clean/blasted parts, linkage brakes etc and a big box of plastics inc 1x good full set green fenders and rad panel with blue number plates and 2x brand new orange rad panels and 2x orange disc guards.
It was a bargain price and in somebody's way and I was gonna part it all out on eBay...... But I kinda wanted to build it and the orange plastic has lead me down a TUF Racing theme build. So I have picked the best frame/subframe, forks and shock, cleaned the fmf pipe up, stripped the tank (it's not polished yet) dug out a gold talon hub/ silver excelle rim rear wheel I had tucked away and started pricing parts on eBay etc.... It's gonna be a slow build I'm in no rush but should be a little ripper when built.

Cleaned up the clamps this afternoon, bars that came with it in for now and found a green front number plate while looking for something else under my work bench

Searching around in the deep dark stock pile in my garage I found this KX seat with Tecnosel cover, it was purchased as a spare for my sidecar but is now likely to end up on my 125, the seat in the first photo with the tank and orange panel is the sidecar seat, note custom longer seat brackets.

Second find is the front fender in the box, cleaned it with warm soapy water and not only is near perfect ( slight marks on the front, right where a graphic would go Smile ) but it is genuine Kawasaki..... Any body put a value on it? Are they rare now? I'm prepared to sell/trade/swap and run a ufo on this build.... I've not checked the rear yet but that might be genuine too......

Small update..... Rear fender is also genuine original part, nearly as nice as the front but has a couple of light marks, nice to have the pair. I will post a photo of it later.
Spent Sunday cleaning the forks ( they need servicing but look better now ) and working on the front wheel, again photos later today.
After a pro circuit pipe and silencer I think.... Anybody know of one? There was a pipe on eBay, in the USA that I was watching but it sold I think as it ended yesterday... Should have jumped on it when I saw it.
Looking forward to the Telford classic off road show, anybody on here in the UK or further away going?

Both wheels were pretty bad, but I have this Talon wheel that fits...... Stock back wheel above as it is now.

So I have done this to the front wheel..... Below.

Haha, that used to be on the front of my sidecar until the jet wash blasted it off, it got stuck there behind my work bench about a year ago, grew up in the 80s so skateboards and BMXs still hold a place in my heart Smile
Thanks for like of the little KX too Cool

Any chance you might sell some of the orange plastic? I just picked up a 89 kx125 myself.
