Alright so I know this is probably more geared toward the race shop side of things but I need some product advice. First off, what brand wheel bearings do you all suggest. Secondly, I'm riding a 2003 YZ125 with a FMF gold series header but stock silencer. Any recommendations or suggestions on what you would put on it would be appreciated, thank you.
For exhaust, fmf shorty is normally a go-to with their pipe.
FMF Fatty pipe & shorty silencer.
V-Force 2
Leaner clip position on the needle, but a richer main jet (one size). I had to fiddle with the air screw too, but I don't remember which direction it went. Probably inward (richer).
I had a real love/hate relationship with the transmission on that bike. I never liked 5 speeds on a 125. I think I ended up sticking with the stock gearing and shifted a lot.

I hate 5 speed 125s.
Go with the FMF shorty silencer, VForce, one richer on the main and you should be good.
When you change your top end, get a weisco Suzuki ring for the same year. File it to fit the smallest ring end gap Yamaha recommends.
49 tooth rear.
One of the best things I did on my 04 was put new clutch springs in. I wasn't a big clutch abuser but it helped with the engagement and better feel.
Pro circuit pipe and shorty silencer (can cut the stock down)
I never got comfortable with the 5 speed but I guess enough seat time and you will make it work.
also make sure you torque your sprocket bolts regularly
But no IMO you can do as little or as much as you want. Just make sure you jet it for whatever you have on.
