I am also a NEMA board member. This is my first year as a board member. My son has been riding a dirt bike since he was three. This is our 4th year with NEMA. We have one bike if it breaks that is it. We have an older pick up with a 1999 hybrid camper (tent type). My son has raced other organzations in the past and there were problems with the checkers and scored him incorrectly. They could not correct it. I felt bad for my son because he did his best and he deserved the correct score. He did learn that everything is not perfect. The next race I helped out because I knew they were short on workers. I did not witness your incident when it happend but I did hear the head ref talking to you while he was on the track and you were on the sidelines. I did not hear him change his story. I think he was very polite and listend to your concerns. He also told you if you did not agree with the decision to protest it as it states in the rule book.. You have to remember that there were races were still going on and he took the time to stop to talk to you. . This year we have four new board members. We are always looking for new ideas to make things run smoother for the future. I have all the faith and trust in the refs that are out on that track. If I didn't I would never let my son on the track. As long as my son rides we are happy to take him each weekend to race. He is still having fun and he has made friends with kids from all over. When talking to non racing friends they have to beg there teenager to go out to dinner with them. We get to camp all weekend with ours and I mean camp. If you have any positive suggestions please feel free to contact us. I hope your son continues to race and have fun.

Oh shit I just realized that mxnewsfeed is out of Danbury CT. Good stuff. Dude, I'll find out when an open ride day at the wick is going down and we'll have to hook up. Great site, I love it.

TripleFive, I hear you but the fact of the matter is that kids dig trophies. That's been my personal observation...unfortunatly life is about material things somewhat, at least in our lifestyle and culture, and I think you have to aknowledge that a bit.

Just an opinion, not looking to get into one of these VitalStyleArguments...had a great weekend riding and feeling good braaaaaaaap!!

I actually met the original poster of this thread this weekend! Small world...
STFU! You're wrong and you're an idiot. Nuff said...

To all Nema posters. Hopefully now you realize the voice of one can be heard by many...I was there..at that spot...The ref got it wrong...Ill never give NEMA a fourth chance...My son does know the deal he does hold his head high...He and I both lost respect for your organization...I love when people bring up what a powerhouse organization you WERE, because your not anymore. Hopefully readers of this will choose somewhere else to go instead of a NEMA race. Im done with you.

it really doesnt matter what the so called "board members" have to say. of course there not gonna admit to there mistakes over the internet. the fact is that we have all experienced these things and theres no way around it. if you have an X on your bike you are without a doubt treated differently.
