Reflex question online play.

If you don't choose private game, is there any way to choose what race or room you connect to? I only fooled with it about 45 mins at lunch, but it seemed like you just choose a race type and reflex chooses your room. Most of my online stuff for untamed was done through invites anyway, so i guess it don't matter.

I can't even figure out where I can join the games I'm invited to.......... someone sent me an invite last night and I couldn't for the life of me find where to join. so i was stuck playing in some random room with people landing on my head........

anyone else get stuck in the MX compound of whatever waiting for riders?
Tried it last night on my ps3 and couldnt ever start a race.. always just waiting..
does it need 11 people before it will start?

No. I did a race with only three people once. Other than that, I don't think I did a race where the field was less than 8 riders.

I never had a problem joining a race. If a race was in progress, it simply inserted me as a "spectator" and I was included in the next race.

Are you xbox or ps3? If it's xbox go to your messages and choose the user that sent the invite, you should see something there that says join game. Add Crash82vitalmx if you wish, I planning on getting some folks together that want to ride seriously, of course I've landed on a few myself lately Smile

I think if its private no on can join your game, except people on your FL , as you can also invite them. I found the best way to get you and a friend to race with others is have one join a room and then invite, yes it sucks but only way I was able to get to race more than the one friend in a private room. Ad me to your FL if its xbox 360 the more the merrier.

MX Dude - I know what your problem is, it's actually pretty simple -- PS3's network = shady. Let's hope it doesn't require 11 people because the chances of you having 11 people playing the same game at the same time on a PS3 network are very slim.

The coolest way I have found is to create an XBOX live party and then when you create races online, there is an option to invite your XBOX live party. Simple as that.

I also like how you can set up more than one race and you just keep playing that track list. Also, if someone joins your room while you are racing, they spectate until the race is over and then can race the next race.

This is my first time playing online, xbox other than GTA4.
I don't know what Im doing wrong, but, I was racing for about 7 rounds, then, left, tried to come back, and I'm just sitting in a room w no one saying were waiting for players....
Like 6x!

What am doing wrong guys? Do I need to reset the xbox kinda like you would a pc if its not connecting? Also, can you talk to people on this game while racing?
I just got it 3 hrs ago, so any info would def help me out.

Oh and will the retarded crashes getting landed on and all that jizz that makes me want to throw my controller through the screen always going to happen, or will it stop as my skill level increases? That's why I ended up leaving the room, and now can't get back in. LOL

I have the same problem, I don't know if there just aren't enough people online or what but almost everytime I've tried to play online over the weekend I end up sitting in the lobby room by myself with "waiting for players" up in the corner. I tried letting it sit for 20 minutes while I was doing other things and still nothing. I've already beat all the career stuff I give a damn about, I want to play online.

I've found that if you have to wait more than about 5 minutes in the compound alone, you've simply been relegated to MX vs. ATV purgatory. You might as well exit out and try to reconnect with another session. I've had the same thing happen with 12 riders in the compound. People seem to have figured it out, because after about 5 minutes, you see players dropping out of the game.

I'm pretty disappointed with the online aspect of this game, it seems very unstable and inconsistent. I can get on some nights and race for an hour with no problems and then sometimes you try to get on and you can't even get out of the compound...if you make it there at all. Hopefully, they're working on this and will clean it up so it'll run better in the future. I guess playing CoD online has spoiled me.
