If I hear Erin say "Take us through" one more time...

As in "Take us through the last few laps", "Take us through what you were thinking", "Take us through what it means to be here".

Sure he likes her. This is my annoyance, not his by any means.

It drives me nuts, because every time she has a mic in her hand it's "Take us through...".

I also have a real problem with the fact that she wears really thick bras. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

"How did those last few laps play out?"

"Your thoughts on your effort today?"

"Did your results today meet your expectations?"

Love to hear the answers to some of those questions.... Mark's comments appear to be a similar fan response to the tired cliches of riders' podium speeches.

My annoyance with her is the way she wraps up every spot in the same "sing song" tone of voice. She's never conversational(unlike Erin Normoyle) and many times gets tongue tied and looks/sounds nervous. Not relaxed and conversational. Whatever energy the interviewer puts out there affects the interviewee. So the guys can be feeling this.

I just thought after this many years in front of the camera she would be more relaxed, conversational and professional but still comes off like, although cute and proficient, a newbe.

I've seen Fro improve from his first few times in front of the camera so I give him credit for improving and mostly overcoming his speech problem. Do I cringe when he gets to sputtering? Yeah,I do. I feel bad for him.

Now I know these aren't easy jobs. They are very stressful and mistakes are bound to happen. So maybe friends, agents, coaches, producers, etc. should be schooling those in front of the camera to help them out with their weak spots, not just ignoring the flaws and keep renewing their contracts.JMO,of course. They all seem like good peeps.

I don't see how Weedge does it....amazing speech patterns. Bailey is a great storyteller...love to listen to DB speak. (later, for some off-season entertainment, I will type up a funny story DB told me at Millville, this year...priceless!)

All of them do a good job and I wouldn't want to trade them off.

Ya, the announcers ask the same stupid questions, so the riders are going to come up with the same lame answers. Erin needs to ask things like "what did you eat for breakfast today?".... "do you think having sex the night before a race takes your energy away, or does it pump you up?"...... "why do you think everyone is getting tats these days, and don't they all look the same?" ...... "what's the one thing you always do before a race?".... or something as idiotic. At least it's more interesting than "take us through...."

Erin is a looker but she is not a good interviewer/announcer. The blonde on the live TV broadcasts is much better. She has more energy and asks better questions. Erin is bland when interviewing and every question is basically the same all season. Krista Voda was better too, as was Jamie Little. Look how long those ladie's lasted doing MX. They moved on quickly... There is a reason for that.

I think the MX announcers do a good job, but check out the announcers that do the World Cup DH MTB races on Freecaster (declinemagazine.com). The one guy must run on a strict diet of Red Bull!

One of my favs: "Holy shit - did you see that? I won't apologize for swearing, cause did you see that!?"

I was cracking up about 1'35" in when they are getting close to the end and Peat is still leading.
