No, you would be saying that the AMA champ is going to give AC a run for his money. I don't think the top American 450 riders ( the riders that actually rode this season ) are on the same level as our top 5 GP MX1 riders.

I hope Dungey, Reed, Tedesco and Byrne can mix it up with our 450 guys because i don't want to see a team dominate like in 2007.

make no mistake...Dungey, Reed, Tedesco, Wiemer, Byrne, metcalf, Rattray, Searle and the rest of the AMA riders going will more than mix it up with the GP guys...Too Bad Poucel, RV, JS, MA and the rest of the top AMA riders can't all go...but the GP's are missing some top talent as well...good thing too...or we'd have nothing to argue about online.

Does suck for America that they've got their C team going...but at least we're going, and those dudes haul the mail and will give their all...with a little luck we can still win....

True, Reed has made the guys racing in the Nationals this year seem slow (he dominated...wrapped up the title 4 motos early...what do you expect)...

But, if Reed had not been there...everyone else would look like they were going as fast as you can possibly go on a motorcycle, and we'd be saying the National Champ would give AC a run for his money.

To be honest...I think Reed and AC are about the same speed...Reed clearly isn't the fastest outdoor rider in the AMA (RV, JS, and likely MA are faster), so if he can run AC's pace, that is about where I'd expect AC to be here...Running about Reeds pace (but behind JS, RV, and even MA).

Face it...because JS and RC have been sooooo much faster than everyone else...it made it look like they didn't have any competitoin...but that ins' the case...the guys behind them are hauling the mail...they are just a tick off the pace of the two superhumans that have been winning everything...
Please explain how you derived that Reed is as fast as AC, educated comparison? You're guesstimating at best and you know it.......it's casue he's an Aussie eh? Going by your rationale, If Reed was a yank, he too be a step above Tony lol

I've been to the last 5 nations, witnessing the racing first hand without being influenced by any media - have you?

AC has been up against the AMA gang, what twice?

Last year at Donnington AC was injured, and i'll give it to RV, he killed it and rode amazing. So you can't compare.

The year before AC was unlucky with a bent rotor, plus the wee guy was out of sorts - you would be too if you were sicilian and customs seized your cheese and wine, maybe even your cigs?

In '06 AC not only schooled "Chump", he straight up beat your boy RV somthing silly along with Townley, Rattray, Christophe Pourcel et al, AMA boys you hold in the highest of regard.

Correct me if i'm wrong, RV smoked MA throughout 250Fs and who knows what would have happened this summer if Ryan and Mike had stayed healthy, but if AC can beat RV, i'd put money on him beating MA too.

As for your argument about RC and JS being so far ahead of the AMA riders, recent des Nations results contradict this, your third rider always just gets the job done. Ferry and Tedesco have looked decidely average, it's the fact that the European countries generaly have one strong rider each, maybe not RC or JS speed (other than the 06 Everts schooling) but certainly a match for RV and more than a match for the rest.......Most of the US states are bigger than any european country and thats worked to your favour. If you can't see that then this thread is going to explode by the time the nations comes around.

so by your own admission AC and Reed haven't raced "staight up" in three years...and that's what you're hanging your hat on??? Come on...Reed has always been a tick of JS and RC...but several tics above everyone else over hear.

And in 06 RV had an off track excursion...and so it was hardly a "straight up" victory...I'm just having flash backs to Budds Creek...how'd RV do there again...I forget?

Again, one off races don't prove anything...mxdn is a one off race...so are the one nationals a summer a few GP boys will come over and race...anything can happen in one race...and when that 'one off race' happened three damn years ago and the guy you're comparing too had come off the couch...

Come on...don't bring that weak shit around here...you're disrespecting yourself.

This going back and forth stuff is just silly, the same arguments could be copy/pasted from every single "us vs them" thread in the last 3-4 years here at Vital. Same crap regurgitated over and over, just change a few of the names.

Dont you guys (from both sides) ever get tired of?

Get this crap to 10 pages so the insta-Dumbgeon script kicks in!

Tell me you were home schooled, please.....

If you're willing to go 10 pages, then at least take the time to read a post and sharpen your comprehension.

As for 06, tell me this. If someone runs off the track and bails cause he's riding over his head and can't run another riders pace, your thinking would suggest he didn't get beat "straight up"?

WTF kind of logic can justisfy that? I guess that's bred into you yanks from a young age, all this P.C bullshit that everyones a winner, giving trophies down to last place actually conditions the mind into believing it's unacceptable to lose to a better man.

Much like how you won't back down here, deep down we both know you've lost.

Oh and if the Nations are a one off race that don't prove anything along with the few nationals that GP riders treat as a busmans holiday - why do you base that as the foundations for your argument that the AMA is a faster series, with faster riders and a deeper talent pool.

Now, wake up, you're the guy that's disrespecting yourself.

AC had the measure of everyone in MX2/MX3 '06 at Matterly, as did Stefan over Bubbles.

I have no problems accepting RV ruining the field at the meetings he has done so, or RC prior, for that matter, i've cheered and applauded them both out of respect whilst doing so.

ocscotties right, there really isn't much more to be said, so i bid you all adieu

Until next time Champ, it's been fun.......pop by the tent in Franciacorta, we're all out of 2nd place trophies but i hear you retards like to suck real hard on lollipops...........

Even when I'm riding well under my capabilities I've made mistakes before...so making mistakes isn't limited to ONLY when someone is riding "over their head"...so that pretty much negates the entire first half of your post...

And the second is pure self gratifing garbage on your part...means nothing...

What have I lost at? Please tell me...
